16/11/07, the last day for pri sch pupils...i just cant bring myself to think that Gmps(Ghim moh Primary) is already 31 years old and its last yr is 2008. Gmps is merging with New Town pri and its new location will be at Commenwealth drive 42, which is near my hse. Though its just a 15mins walk, the security might not allow my friends and i in...we are no longer the pupils there. Its a new school, new environment, new teachers and new pupils.
I went back to Gmps on the 16/11/07 to celebrate its 31st birthday. It was a quite a grand ceremony with a huge cake, and a slide show of the memories of Gmps since 1979...I joined the school in 2001, and for 6 yrs straight, i have never left that school. Thinking that Gmps will be closed down in 2009, simply...it really is a tragedy. With the enrolment of about only 400-500 pupils odd i think, the school has to merge. Haiz...aint that sad???
The last day of school next yr, will be a grand one...and i wont ever ever miss it...if i do, tell me to jump off a building, k?? Thanks.
